Anyway, in every finish city, I would recommend to go to the "Kauppahalli".It's a market, where local people sell things like food, art crafts,...You get delicious food and cheap coffee there.

Located in the south side of market square this is easy to visit and notice. Inside there are lot's of small shops selling ingredients like meat, fish, cheese, ham, sweets and my personal favorite is spice shop where you can find all ordinary spices and lot's of a bit more harder to find ones.

The Kuopio City Hall is the main building on the square. On the square you can go the daily market (outside) or to the market hall (inside), which both sell traditional finnish products (including Kalakukko). This is the first place to go when you are in Kuopio.

Lange hat's gedauert, aber das Warten hat sich gelohnt. Nach schier endloser Umgestaltung des Marktplatzes und der damit verbundenen Restauration und Erweiterung der Markthalle erstrahlt das gute St¨¹ck in neuem Glanz.Im alten Teil ist eigentlich nichts ver?ndert worden, der Anbau mit Anschluss in die "Unterwelt" von Kuopio l?dt aber zum Sitzen ein.
