I likes the garden and the lake or pond . The playground was not the nicest in the world, said my11 year son.

I had a couple of extra hours and just wandered by coincidence into this lovely pond/park area. Weather was perfect, so I ended up reading a book for two hours. There are a number of benches and at least one toilet in the area.

Surroundings of the Valkeisenlampi are beautiful and this is one of the gems in Kuopio. Close to the city centre you hardly could imagine to find a perfect spot for a family picnic: a beach, a playground, grass to lay on, flowers, path to walk... It's all there. Take a walk around, sit down, relax, enjoy. This place is beautiful!
