Visited one morning with my son. Rented a canoe and fished the far shoreline with some success. All in all, a great experience at a picturesque reservoir in Vt.

Beautiful grassy lawns over look the expansive reservoir. The swimming area has a sandy floor and slopes gradually, perfect for kids to swim. The water is reasonably warm for swimming (it's Vermont) and Umiak rents kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. There's a short nature trail, perfect for a little hike. Pick up the informative brochure outside the rest rooms. No food or drink is sold on site, so bring a picnic or snacks, or buy sandwiches at the nearby deli at the Cold Hollow Cider Mill and deli (Apple Core).

Beautiful reservoir with cheap rentals of kayaks and canoes; great sand beach with picnic tables in the sun and in the shade. Nice, easy-going hiking path. Have to pay the state park fee of 3$ a person, but it's worth it!

We happened upon the park by accident, and were pleased. The area was absolutely beautiful. A waterway that had a beach area/grassy area, bath house, boat rentals, picnic tables, and plenty of space for families to enjoy a day. The fee was $3. pp for entry. Very nice place to spend some quiet time if you are in the area.

I think they close it early. Sometime before sunset and its too bad because the sunset there with the trees reflection on the water can be a beautiful sight.While we've been there it was very quiet. Only few friendly locals with their dogs walking around.

Stopped by for a picnic. Nice site and quiet picnic area. Looks worth a longer stay next time with swimming and kayaks available.For $3 the price is right.
