Via Ferrata was amazing and well worth the money. The "white" trail is manageable and I believe anyone can do it. The views along the climb is stunning and the climb up there makes it even more worthwhile. The guy who runs the company (Latte, hope I'm right) was very helpful. He prepared us with the right gear. I would like to person aly commend him because of two things. First, he came all the way to our hostel just to return the sunglasses we left in one of the loaned bags. And second, he was very kind to drive us to Skuleskogen National Park the next day since we had no car. A very helpful and nice guy.A trip to Skulesberget is not complete without having climbed with Via Ferrata!

Skuleberget is half-way up Sweden on the main north-south road, E4. Where you park the car there is "Naturum" with a cafe and a huge amount of information on this World heritage site.From the car park you can walk up to the top of the mountain in a strenuous 45 minutes and see fantastic views if the weather is good. There is a cafe on top.There are also three "Via Ferrata", climbing paths up the steep face of the mountain. You can hire all the equipment you need and get some basic instructions in the center next to the car park (390 Skr per person in 2013) . The "Easy" route really is no problem if you are reasonably fit and not scared of heights and I get a kick every time I do this route. I have climbed with fairly young children without any problem but I knew them well! I have seen other children on the route who were rather nervous. The other two routes are more strenuous.Round the other side of the mountain is a chairlift (Linbana) that takes you to the top (and back) for 100 Skr.

We often do the more than 8 hours drive from Stockholm to northern Sweden and there are few better stops than this one. Not for gas, not for fast food but for the fresh air and excercise. Make sure you have good shoes and a picnic in your ruck sack and take the family up to the cave. If you have had a boored 3 year old in the back seat for the last few hours, make this stop and you will have a sleeping 3 year old the next for hours :)

Ett m?ste om man ?r p? tur i H?ga Kusten! Mycket vackert och trevligt berg som n?s efter promenad, kl?ttring eller sittlift. P? vintern ?r det ?ppet f?r skid?kning. Finns en trevlig toppstuga som passar perfekt f?r en fika!

Bra naturum. F?r h?jdr?dda: ta den norra, l?ngre v?gen upp. Det finns andra skogar och berg i n?rheten som ?r roligare att bes?ka.

Vi tog linbanan b?de upp och ner, fikade p? toppen, gick/kl?ttrade ner till en grotta och upp igen. Lagom. Utsikten var helt fantastisk! Men se till att ?ka dit en dag med n?gorlunda god sikt.

Det finns olika v?gar upp och det ?r en bra id¨¦ att kolla vilken som passar en b?st innan man ger sig upp?t. Vi tog en kort brant v?g upp och en l?ngre mer sluttande ner. Vi blev rej?lt andf?dda under kl?ttrandet och tr?ningskl?der ?r att rekommendera. D? det bitvis ?r riktigt brant s? t?nk p? att ha skor med bra f?ste. Utsikten var helt fantastisk och det ?r v?rt varenda svettdroppe.
