This is a very moving place- the graves of Jews, Russian Prisoners of War and townspeople murdered by the Nazi's in WWII. Its a beautifully well kept spot with volunteers clearing undergrowth and weeding when we visited. Inside there are memorials and exhibitions. the great gate still has traces of the wartime use with remnants of the barbed wire still there. Give yourself a couple of hours.There is also a tiny Jewish grave yard in the city- made up of grave stones rescued after being vandalised and now a poignant and moving memorial.

The Zamosc Rotunda is a memorial to the nearly 8,000 people who were murdered by the Nazi's at this site. The Rotunda is an extension of the Zamosc city fortifications. The path up to the Rotunda is a graveyard dedicated to the Jews, Polish partisans, and Soviet prisoners of war who died there. The interior of the Rotunda is a museum with posters, pictures, and memorials. Just a short walk from the Zamosc city walls, and worth a visit if you are in this UNESCO world heritage city.

A Rotunda de Zamosc foi um arsenal no seu XIX e durante a 2? guerra serviu de escrit¨®rio dos Nazistas bem como de local para fuzilamento. Fica um pouco al¨¦m das muralhas da cidade, a poucos minutos a p¨¦ e vale muito o passeio. Antes de chegar ¨¤ estrutura da Rotunda existe ao lado direito da estrada um cemit¨¦rio de soldados poloneses e ¨¤ esquerda o cemit¨¦rio das v¨ªtimas do comunismo. A Rotunda hoje serve de museu onde ¨¦ contada a hist¨®ria da cidade e das 8 mil pessoas que morreram ali. Um passeio muito emocionante!

Esta a unos 15 minutos andando del centro, pero nosotros fuimos en coche; en septiembre estaban de obras por la zona y era complicado llegar desde el centro, cuando acaben sera un paseo y se llegar¨¢ en un momento.La vista no lleva mucho tiempo ya que es un lugar peque?o, pero con mucha historia para la gente de la zona.

En grusom severdighet! Her ble polakker fengslet under siste verdenskrig. Alle j?der og mange polakker ble sendt til Majdanek, men 8000 ble skutt her i rotunden. Gravene ligger rundt muren. Inne i hallene gis et lite bilde av hva som foregikk under 2. verdenskrig.
