It is a huge beautiful tree on Front street, a busy tourist area. We did not spend much time there and probably should have taken some time to look through the courthouse. While the street is rare, I'm not sure that we would make a special trip back to Maui to see it again.

A nice respite from the sun when strolling Front Street in Lahaina. It is centrally located and has plenty of seating. Plenty of birds to watch and listen to.

We didn't realize how special it was at sunrise while waiting to board our whale watch tour. This is when its' amazingly alive with loud mina birds at an impressive decibel level. Plus no people and few lights.

The Banyan Tree Park is exactly that...a big Banyan Tree. I was very glad it was there, because it was a very warm day. I can assure you...I have never sat under a bigger Banyan Tree. Nice sitting areas. Centrally located to shops, dining, tours, & historical sites. Not a site to take a trip to Lahaina to see, but it is a very nice site when you get there.

Was it cool to see? Yes. Was it beautiful? Yes. Was it like nothing else I'd ever seen? Yes. Is it worth a trip out to see? Not if that is all your going for. I am defiantly glad I got to see the Banyan tree, it is all the things I listed above and more and is really a neat sight but I would not make a trip out to Lahaina just to see it. Also, once you've seen it, you've seen it not a trip worth going back to.

This is rare to see those gigant trees, and just great to spend some time in shade. It is full of birds, so noise is amazing. Geat experience. It is just behind the port/mall, if You are taking boat trips form Lahaina.

Located near the harbor. Great history behind this tree and also great to sit under and refresh when shopping on Front Street. A must do when on Front Street.

This is a huge tree that fills an entire block. Trying to get a photo of it is nearly impossible. The block. There are benches for sitting an meditation and historic structures in the block. Old and historic buildings are plentiful in town including museums. Shops surround the park and most are overpriced. You will find great shave ice here. The tree however is the star of the show.

The tree takes up an entire block, giving alot of shade if you need it. Must see if you are on Front St.
