A bit out of the way but we were in the area for work and were hungry. I am glad we found The Wooden Nickel. Smaller restaurant, nicely done with a large bar. They only had one server working and nearly every table was full. That said, she was extremely efficient and friendly. The food prices were very reasonable, and tasty. Definitely give The Wooden Nickel a try.

The Wooden Nickel is a fun bar to grab a few drinks. They have a big menu with plenty of apps to choose from. The patio section is nice to sit in for some fresh air and being right on Main Street, allows for some viewing. The location is great, it's right in the center of historic Glen Carbon.
