Shops were totally out of my budget, but worth the look. My 13 year old daughter loved looking as we don't have anything that extravagant in our home town.

Great for browsing and eating, and was sent there by concierge at hotel unfortunately most of it was still closed when I got there at 7.30 a.M. On Sunday morning and no special vegan food options that I could see at that time, but beautiful architecture.

This is such a beautiful arcade - the architecture is certainly up there with the Burlington Arcade in London. Have a look at the spice shop which I think is probs one of the best around.

The Block Arcade has wonderful shops and some awesome architecture. It is part of a wonderful area of lanes and arcades that is fun to visit and enjoy. Lots of coffee shops and unique cafes.

This is a gorgeous historic walk way, with many interesting shops. Must visit Coco Black for the best hot chocolate and treats in an old world setting, upstairs with a window seat. Great place for taking visitors to Melbourne for something a little different.

Beautifully preserved historic reminder of the grand old days. Lots of upscale shops and restaurants, all clean and shiny, as if locked in time. I loved strolling through the Arcade. I ate at one restaurant with seating in the arcade area; food and wine were good, while service and atmosphere were mixed. I found myself becoming a human ashtray.

Last weekend my husband and I did a chocolate tour of Melbourne and we stopped in the Block Arcade for a short history lesson. Who would have imagined that The Block Arcade was a place to be seen by the opposite gender with prospects of marriage in the air in the 1800s. What a beautiful place it is. The stores in the Block are interesting and different. Pop in and check it out.
