This March was one of the worst due to lack of snow, or so the locals say. However, thanks to the beautifully prepared pistes, the skiing was great. In fact, fantastic. This is one the best ski resorts I've been to (possibly even better than Zermatt, which is a favourite). I am looking forward to experience Whistler/Blackcomb with fresh snow...

Awesome visit, though the conditions this year we're not exceptional, We had s great time. The mountain is sooooo big, couldn't ski it all anyway. Plenty of terrain for evey level. Would definitely go back.

We almost cancelled our trip due to lack of snow, but glad we didn't. It's been a rough snow year on the west coast, but despite the less than desirable conditions we skied one day on the Blackcomb side and husband and son .heli -skied another. We are Sun Valley and Bend/Mt Bachelor home owners, so we rarely venture to other resorts. We stayed at the Westin Grande which has an amazing ski in- ski out location. It has been 20+ years since our last visit her so we were surprised to see what development the Winter Olympics had brought. My advice is to stay right in the village if possible. There are many types of restaurants and bars at many different price points as well as grocery and liquor store for those in condos. It was wonderful to park the car and not have to drive at all.

We have just returned from Whistler after a weeks skiing, eating and fun. If you want to ski from dawn to dusk, no matter how experienced you are this is a place which the gods made for playing. The post and apr¨¨s ski is excellent, you can shop, but it possibly better to do this in Vancouver, London or some other metropolis! We stayed in the Four Seasons and skied Backcomb and Whistler Mountains. It's worth the long flight and if you are flying Air Canada be prepared for service with a great big smile. We will be back!

lots of good restaurants from fine dining to take aways, nice shops and of course world class ski facilities, endless fantastic walks.

Amazing mountain ready to be explored in all seasons. Free mountain tours for all levels in (skiing/boarding) winter and (hiking) summer. Beautiful views on a sunny day.

I'm writing my review based on the service received from every WB employee encountered and general setup, not the lack of snow this season, whilst we were there you could still ski top to bottom at the right time of day. Guys, Whistler doesn't control the weather, we have flown from the UK, we could have gone anywhere and encounter poor snowfall. We arrived on March 1st, having pre-booked our lift tickets and ski hire direct with http://www.whistlerblackcomb.com, from the UK, we booked 2 x 11 day passes and 1 ski hire, collection of the tickets, prices were comparable to a similar amount of time in Europe.Whistler is very well run, very knowledgeable employees, from the ski hire locations, general staff, lift controllers and WB ski instructors.Check out the website and local info boards to see which lifts/runs etc are open on a daily based as it obviously changes based on weather and snow fall.If you book your ski hire direct through WB, you can store your ski's at the base of the mountain next to the Longhorn Pub/Restaurant, this is great if you don't have ski-in/out or there is a lack of snow allowing you to do set, I brought my own kit and stored my Snowboard for 11 days for just $43CA.There are WB employees everywhere and everybody is keen to help. The lift guys very helpful assisting with the storage of equipment when using the lifts helping you on and off the gondolas. We booked a one day ski lesson at the "Guest Services" bottom of main Whistler Gondola.Again very helpful. You can book "Fresh Tracks" where you get to go up early and be the first on the mountain, this comes with a buffet breakfast, very good if you get some fresh snowfall, but we never so didn't take advantage. My biggest tip, if you don't use your lift pass everyday, take it back to "Guest Services" and ask politely for refund on any "unused days", (bear in mind, if you use the lift pass as a foot passenger, this will count as being used) we got nearly $400 back on $1600 of lift passes
